4.2 About Polishing

You can polish, but only for shallow scratches. For deep scratches (exposing the aluminium substrate), polishing will make the damage more obvious—the aluminium substrate is a silver-white metal, while the UV coating is a transparent colored coating; after polishing away the coating, the aluminium color is exposed, and the visual difference is worse than the scratch itself.
